Bangaloreans who are itching to travel, the good folks at Karnataka State Tourism Development Corporation (KSTDC) have some great news for you! Restarting after a few months’ pause, the officials have begun their five-day tour packages to popular heritage spots in North and South Karnataka. Resuming along with the other tourism facilities like jungle lodges, safaris and hotels, their tour packages will cover the major sightseeing spots in destinations in the region.
While the North Karnataka five-day package will include visits to popular places like Hampi, Badami, Pattadakal, Aihole and Bijapur (among others), the South Karnataka trip has stops at Horanadu, Kolluru, Sringeri, Udupi and Murudeshwar. “On Friday, we sent the first North Karnataka Heritage tour package for which we had 12 bookings. This is a great sign for us,” said Kumar Pushkar, Managing Director of KSTDC.
To ensure the safety of passengers, social distancing has been made mandatory along with measures like regular sanitisation of buses and places of stay, regular temperature checks and leaving alternate seats empty. Furthermore, Kumar added, “For long tours, we accept only travellers below the age of 60 years.” Considering how people are longing to venture out, these five-day packages could be a safe way to restart your travel plans!
