Shiv Sena, in its mouthpiece Saamna, has yet again slammed the policies of BJP. The unit believes that BJP is backing ‘outsiders’ who are trying to insult the image of Mumbai.
Kangana at the center of the movement
Kangana Ranaut is currently at loggerheads with Shiv Sena regarding a variety of topics. While she has openly accused Mumbai Police and compared the city to Pok, Shiv Sena has been strong with its replies. Recently, BMC even demolished a portion of Kangana’s office in Mumbai.
Shiv Sena launches attack on BJP
An editorial in Saamna said: “Once again the efforts to vilify the image Maharashtra’s capital Mumbai has begun. These attempts are made by the ‘outsiders’. But, as per tradition, the moles inside our own house are to make them stronger. In the intervening period, Mumbai was called Pakistan. BMC (Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation) was referred to as ‘Babar’ after the Municipal Corporation took action on the illegal construction of an actress (Kangana Ranaut) who insulted Mumbai.“
It further added: “The Maharashtra unit of BJP is standing behind the people who first compared Mumbai to Pakistan, and then to Babur, and we have to call this unfortunate.“
Shiv Sena said that all of this is happening so that BJP can win the upcoming Bihar elections. While the party said that Maharashtra is getting insulted for that, they lamented that BJP’s Maharashtra leaders are supporting it.
The ruling government further asked the people to unite against the forces in the state. They cited that an actress is sitting at her home and referring to the Chief Minister as ‘Tu’ and they are not protesting the act.
