The National Commission for Women has issued a fresh notice to filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt in alleged blackmail and sexual assault of a woman.

The notices have also been sent to actors Urvashi Rautela, Esha Gupta, Mouni Roy, and Prince Narula in the case of allegedly providing modeling opportunities though the company. These celebrities promoted a company called IMG ventures and had failed to appear for the hearing that was scheduled on the 6th of August. The commission took action on Thursday and said,

Action To Follow

The notice was earlier sent to actor Sonu Sood but the actor has reportedly cleared his stance by responding to the notice. The chief of the National Commission for Women Rekha Sharma acknowledged that Sonu was cooperating. The founder of People Against Rapes in India, Yogita Bhayana filed the complaint and said,

“I want to convey that if these people can unofficially ask IMG Ventures to remove their videos from their website why did they not answer or reply to NCW in today’s hearing? They are double-faced people who want to dissociate with Sunny Verma and his bad deeds and at the same time are afraid to say that they were associated with him in the past.”

This is another allegation coming in the way of Mahesh Bhatt after he was accused by people of being involved in the death of Sushant Singh Rajput. Bhatt had recorded his statement with the Mumbai police in relation to the actor’s death.
