Rhea Chakraborty, the actress and the girlfriend of late actor Sushant Singh Rajput, has been in the news post the death of the actor.

Rhea Chakraborty was born to a Bengali family in Bengaluru Karnataka. Her father is an officer in the Indian Army and hence she did her schooling from Army Public School. After her successful stint as a video jockey in MTV India, Rhea made her acting debut in Bollywood in a film called Mere Dad Ki Maruti. A year before in 2012, she made her Telugu debut with the film Tuneega Tuneega. In 2014, she played a character of Sonali in the film Sonali Cable. In 2018, she appeared in a film called Jalebi opposite Varun Mitra.

Rhea’s foray into Bollywood was a Yash Raj film called Mere Dad Ki Maruti which also starred Saqib Saleem in the lead role. The movie which was a light-hearted comedy-drama managed to collect only 12 crores and was termed as a flop.

A women-centric film where Rhea played the lead character who provides internet services in one specific area in the city of Mumbai. The film that also had Ali Fazal opened to mixed reviews from both fans and critics.
