102 Congress MLAs Unanimously Demand Removal Of Sachin Pilot From The Party

In the midst of the power crisis of Rajasthan between Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and his deputy Sachin Pilot, close to 102 MLAs have demanded the party to remove Sachin Pilot from the party.

The second congress legislature party meeting was held on Tuesday in Jaipur. Despite Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi urging Pilot to not go against Ashok Gehlot, the rebel leader skip the second CLP meet too. The meeting was held at the hotel where the MLAs are being currently kept. The first CLP meet yesterday happened at Gehlot’s residence where the members demanded strong disciplinary action against Pilot for trying to weaken the government.

Pilot openly stood against Gehlot after special operations group of Rajasthan police sent a notice to him for appearing for investigation in the alleged case of bribing of MLAs to topple the Congress government in the state. Pilot’s supporters say this is an attempt to humiliate the leader.

In the recent development, 104 Members of Legislative Assembly who were present at the second Congress legislature meeting at Fairmont hotel have unanimously demanded the party to throw Sachin Pilot out of the party.

Sachin Pilot To Form New Party?

As per a report in the Free Press Journal, Sachin Pilot is likely to form his own party which will be called Pragatisheel Congress. With that, he is likely to become the Chief Minister of Rajasthan state with the outside support from the Bharatiya Janata Party. However, it is not confirmed yet as what Sachin Pilot is likely to do.

On Sunday evening, the office of Sachin Pilot had claimed that the Ashok Gehlot government in Rajasthan is in minority as 30 MLAs of the Congress and some independent MLAs have pledged support to the deputy chief minister. Following this, the Rajasthan Congress held a press conference on Monday which was done by the general secretary Avinash Pande who claimed that the Congress is still in majority as 109 MLAs have pledged support to Ashok Gehlot.
