Former Pakistan all-rounder Shahid Afridi, in a tweet, has revealed that he has tested positive for COVID-19. The ex-Pakistan captain also announced that he had not been feeling well since Thursday.
The first major victim from the cricketing fraternity
Although sportspersons from other games have already faced the brunt of the deadly virus, no major cricketer had tested positive for the virus till now. Scotland’s Majid Haq and South Africa’s Solo Nqweni had also tested positive for Coronavirus.
I’ve been feeling unwell since Thursday; my body had been aching badly. I’ve been tested and unfortunately I’m covid positive. Need prayers for a speedy recovery, InshaAllah #COVID19 #pandemic #hopenotout #staysafe #stayhome
