A street in the locality of Nagarabhavi has reportedly been sealed down for a period of 28 days. The move came after a person from the street was stated to have been infected with COVID-19. The street in the discussion is the 4th Cross Street of Nagarabhavi 2nd Stage.
29-year-old COVID-19 patient
A 29-year-old man, the patient had returned to Bengaluru from Italy via Doha. After serving the compulsory 7-day period of institutional quarantine, the man reached his home in Nagarabhavi. However, on three days of his arrival, it came to light that he has been infected with the virus.
15 days ago, the 29-year-old’s father had passed away and on arrival to his home, he had also taken part in the rituals. The patient has now been admitted to the Victoria Hospital.
Following the news, the authorities sealed down the street and have asked the residents to not step outside for 28 days.

In the previous phase of the lockdown, restrictions had been eased on the travel of individuals from different states. It has further been relaxed in the latest set of guidelines announced by the government.
However, parallelly, the number of cases has been increasing, and the reason for this is being pointed to the returnees from different states and countries. Although Bengaluru is far less affected than the other districts in the state, care needs to be taken by the officials to curb the outbreak in the capital.
