In the recent survey conducted by Times Now, called as the ‘Times Now ORMAX Chief Minister’s COVID Response Survey’, Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa has ranked as the second best CM in India, among the individuals in charge of the six big metropolitan cities in the country. The survey analyses the responses of citizens of urban India as to how their leaders have performed in handling the COVID-19 crisis in their respective cities.

Six cities part of the survey

The cities that were part of the survey are: Delhi, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata and Hyderabad. While Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal topped the list with 65% votes, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee was the least voted candidate. Didi procured just 6% votes for her efforts in the state.

BSY bags the second position

With 56% Bengalureans of the opinion that BSY has done well so far in mitigating the impact of COVID-19 in the Garden City, the BJP Leader stands at number two in this list. BSY has been receiving plenty of accolades for his performance in the recent times, and the result of this survey is yet another achievement for the veteran politician.

A city that is extremely cosmopolitan, and also exposed to heavy influx of foreigners, the fear of Coronavirus has been far lower in Bengaluru when compared to a city like Mumbai or Chennai. The city has just seen around 180 positive cases despite the fact that the very second case in the country had landed at the Bengaluru Airport.

BSY has been very active in holding meetings with concerned authorities, while his efforts in staying close to the public with frequent media interactions is also commendable. Hopefully, the man can continue his form for the next few weeks, and help make Bengaluru corona-free.
