Ever since the entire country has been shut, nature has been exposing itself at its best, which has also, in a way caused us to regret a few actions of ours in the pre-lockdown era. Birds and Animals have also started enjoying themselves, and on some occasions, we have also been treated to their beauty and innocence during the lockdown.
In the latest entrant to this list is an adorable video of a Ganges River Dolphin which was spotted playing around in the water.

An Indian Forest Officer Akash Deep Badhawan took to Twitter to share a rare sight of Ganges River Dolphin spotted playing around in the water in Meerut.

Ganges River Dolphin, our National Aquatic Animal once lived in the Ganga-Brahmaputra-Meghna river system is now endangered. They live in fresh water and are practically blind, with small slits as eyes.

Of course, watching the adorable video, many fell in instant love with the Dolphins. They showed some love in the comment section too.
Ganges River Dolphin
Mr. Akash also let out further details about this rare animal. Discovered in 1801, Ganges River Dolphins are basically blind, with tiny slits for eyes. They hunt other fish in the vicinity using ultrasounds. While they are mostly solo, sometimes a mother and its calf are found together too.
These animals habitat in the tracts of Ganges, where fishes are in plenty, and water currents are slow. When they are caught by fishermen, they usually are regarded as ‘by-catch’, but there are occasions when they are hunted for its meat and oil.
