93% Of India Believes Modi Govt. Will Handle COVID-19 Crisis Well In The Country: Survey

In a survey, revealed on Thursday, around 93% of India’s population believes that the Narendra Modi-led BJP Government will handle the COVID-19 crisis well in the country.

Although the government received criticism for inefficient handling at the start, slowly, BJP has turned the tides to bring confidence to the people that they could emerge successfully out of this crisis. At the center of the fightback has been PM Modi himself.

PM Modi has interacted with the citizens often, and his video-messages have done a whole lot good in motivating the people. Modiji had announced a nationwide lockdown on March 25th, which has now been extended until May 3rd.

According to the IANS-C-voter COVID-19 tracker, only 76.8% of people felt the country would handle the crisis well on the first day of the lockdown. However, the number has increased to a whopping 93.5% as on April 21st.

The statement in the survey read:

I think the Indian government is handling the coronavirus (outbreak) well.”

The people were given the questions between March 16th and April 21st and their answers were sought.

In fact, on April 16th too, the percentage in favor of PM Modi was just hovering around the 75-mark. However, the stringent curbs imposed by the government have made the people fall on the government’s side.

It needs to be seen now, as to what measures Modi and his team would take in the coming days, to help revitalize the economy and provide a livelihood to the poor and the needy.
