Re-runs of Mahabharata & Ramayan Will Help People Like Sonakshi Sinha : Mukesh Khanna

In an exclusive interview with the Times of India, Shaktimaan-fame Mukesh Khanna has taken a dig at Sonakshi Sinha, saying people like her will know more about mythology with the re-runs of Mahabharat & Ramayan, currently being re-telecast on Doordarshan due to the nation-wide lockdown.

Sonakshi Sinha was trolled a few months ago, for her lack of knowledge in Mythology

A few months ago, Sonakshi was at the center of a controversy on KBC, when she failed to name the person for whom Lord Hanuman had bought the “Sanjeevini” in the Ramayan epic. Following this, she was subject to plenty of trolls on social media. Mukesh Khanna took a reference to this incident in his latest interview.

Re-runs of Ramayan & Mahabharat will help people like Sonakshi

In the interview, Mukesh Khanna said:

“I think the reruns will be useful to many who haven’t watched the show earlier. It will also help people like Sonakshi Sinha who have no knowledge about our mythological sagas. People like her don’t know who did lord Hanuman get Sanjivani for. There is a video doing the rounds where few boys are asked whose Mama was Kans and they got scared to answer. Some said Duryodhan, others said something else, so they are not aware of the mythology.

Mukesh Khanna, who played the role of Bhishmapitamah in Mahabharat, also said that the current TV-soaps have polluted the minds of the viewers. He further criticized Ekta Kapoor for making a mockery of the Mahabharat, since she cast actors who did not fit the roles exactly.
