KGF actor Yash is reportedly being approached to play Raavan opposite Ranbir Kapoor’s Ram in Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana.
Yash as Raavan
Nitesh Tiwari’s epic Ramayan is taking its own time at the pre-production level to bring out and the casting of this magnum opus is yet to be finalized. While reports have hinted that Ranbir Kapoor is going to play Lord Ram in this cinematic adaptation, the latest buzz is that K.G.F star Yash has been approached to play Ravan in this epic.
According to Pinkvilla, after K.G.F Chapter 2, Yash is taking reasonable time to decide which project he will take on next. The actor is reportedly considering offers from various industries and Ramayan which is to be directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Madhu Mantena is among his top five picks.
“Yash wants to do a spectacle and is planning his game with a certain vision in mind. He is hearing scripts from across the industries and has narrowed it down to 4 to 5 scripts that have the potential of being his next. One of the 5 is the Nitesh Tiwari-directed Ramayana. Yash is mighty impressed with the pre-visualization of the film and has been doing meetings with the team of Ramayana. He will be taking a call on his immediate next film within the next 2 months,” quoted Pinkvilla.

The source also revealed that producer Madhu Mantena and director Nitesh Tiwari are keen on getting the KGF actor onboard and if he agrees, this would probably be one of the biggest collaborations in Hindi cinema.
For unversed, Nitesh and Madhu announced their ‘Ramayana’ back in 2019, and ever since then, fans have been really excited about the details and star cast of the same. If all goes well, the project will go on floors in the summer of 2023.
