The American company Amazon helped the National Investigation Agency (NIA) to nab a buyer who used Amazon e-commerce site to buy ingredients for the improvised explosive device (IED) that caused Pulwama Attack last year.

Up to 40 CRPF jawans were martyred on February 14, 2018, suicide attack, which drove India to revenge with cross-border airstrikes on Jaish-e-Mohammad safe heavens deep inside Pakistan.
Based on details provided by Amazon, Waiz-ul-Islam from Srinagar was arrested on Friday. NIA also arrested Mohammad Abbas Rather, a resident of Hakripora village in Pulwama, for housing Pulwama attack traitors including suicide bomber Adil Ahmad Dar.
According to the sources, during interrogation, Waiz revealed that he used Amazon’s online shopping account to obtain chemicals like ammonium powder for making IEDs, batteries, clothing and other accessories, on the superintendence of Pakistani Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) terrorists. Later, he delivered the items to JeM terrorists after procuring the damaging material online as a part of the conspiracy to carry out the Pulwama attack, said NIA spokesperson.
An NIA officer informed that the day Pulwama attack was executed, Waiz was only 18 years old.

Mohammad Abbas Rather, a citizen of Hakripora village in Pulwama is an old overground worker of JeM. He told the interrogators that he had given shelter to Jaish terrorist and IED expert Mohammad Umar at his home after the latter had arrived in Kashmir in April-May 2018.
He had also sheltered Pulwama suicide bomber Adil Ahmad Dar, Sameer Ahmed Dar and Pakistan terrorist Kamran at his house several times in the course of the attack. He also arranged a safe place for JeM terrorists including Adil and others at the house of another arrested accused Tariq Ahmed Shah and his daughter Isha Jan of Hakripora, Pulwama. The father-daughter duo was arrested earlier on March 3.
Till now, five accused in Pulwama terror attack eventā Shakir Bashir Magrey, who drove suicide bomber Adil Ahmad Dar to a point close to the attack site; Tariq Ahmed Shah and Insha Jan, both of whom gave shelter to the Pulwama conspirators at their house āhave landed in NIA arrest.
Waiz and Rather shall be presented before the NIA special court at Jammu on Saturday.
