Rajinikanth Praised the Centre Over Article 370 – Compared Modi-Shah Duo To Krishna And Arjuna

The veteran actor Rajnikant has praised the central government for its move to revoke Article 370 of the consistency. The superstar also hailed both Narendra Modi and Amit Shah for their efforts and compared the duo to Mahabharata’s Krishna and Arjun.

Thalaiva compares Modi-Shah duo to Krishna and Arjuna 

Superstar and Thalaiva of the film industry on Sunday congratulated the government to repeal Article 370 that gave special status to Jammu and Kashmir. He lauded Prime minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah for their commitment and compared them to Lord Krishna and Arjuna.

“My heartfelt congratulations to Amit Shah for Mission Kashmir operation. The way you conducted it, especially the speech you delivered in Parliament was fantastic. Amit Shah Ji and Modi Ji are like Krishna-Arjuna combination.” he said while speaking at the launch of a book on Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu in Chennai. ANI

“We don’t know who is Krishna and who is Arjuna, it is only they who know” added the actor and people in the auditorium burst into laughter. Rajni then went on wishing the government very best for its future role and said he would launch his political party and contest the 2021 assembly elections in Tamil Nadu.

A bold move

A few weeks back, the Modi government had revoked the provisions of Article 370 that gave special status to Jammu and Kashmir and bifurcated the state into union territories. Tamil Nadu Deputy Chief Minister O Panneerselvam was also present at the book launch event titled the dissolution of Article 370 of the Constitution as a ‘daring’ move by Modi and Shah. He said, “I am confident that this extremely significant politico-constitutional measure will not only strengthen the unity and integrity of India but also reinforce federalism by placing all states on an equal footing.”

Earlier in 1984, the AIADMK led by late J Jayalalithaa demanded an end to Article 370 that gave special status to Jammu and Kashmir.
