After much delay (read as 6 hours), the teaser of the Rakshit Shetty starrer Avane Srimannarayana dropped yesterday late in the night and we couldn’t hold ourselves back from talking about it. The first teaser which was released exactly a year ago got us excited for the film with its setting, its color palette, and the witty Rakshit Shetty as Srimannarayana. The teaser which released yesterday seems nothing like the first teaser in terms of the mood.
The teaser opens with Balaji Manohar’s character who is seen holding the hands of his ailing father and listening to his last words. By the look of it, one can make out that it is set in an earlier period when dacoits and slavery existed but the exact timeline is unknown. Later, a series of visuals is revealed with the voice over which goes on and on to describe the protagonist, Srimannarayana.
The visuals look rich. Each frame hooks your interest. The slow-motion action shots are done beautifully. The background score serves the right purpose. The amount of hard work spent on making can be seen and is commendable.
The actors seem to be in top form too. The film has some of the brilliant cast starting with Rakshit Shetty, Balaji Manohar, Pramod Shetty, and Achyuth Kumar. They seem to have suited the part.
Though the visuals and the background music seem impressive, it didn’t provide us the freshness which was expected. One cannot gauge the storyline from the teaser but the makers cannot escape from the comparison with KGF. The familiarity of the visuals comes from there. To be fair to the team of Avane Srimannarayana, we should wait for the film to release before passing any judgments.
Written by Rakshit Shetty and the seven odds, produced by Pushkar Mallikarjunaiah and HK Prakash, music by Ajaneesh Loknath and Charan Raj and cinematography by Karm Chawla, Avane Srimannarayana is directed and edited by Sachin.
As of now, Avane Srimannarayana looks like a sure shot hit. The teaser is impressive but not just enough. Nevertheless, any film from this team is promising and hence, the hopes are high for this one.
