Traveling to Mysore from Bengaluru is going to be much easier and quicker from now on. Making it a reality, Alliance Air, a subsidiary of Air India will commence operations between Bengaluru and Mysuru from June 7 under the regional air connectivity scheme UDAN 3.0.

Pratap Simha who is the member of Parliament from Mysur-Kodagu confirmed the ongoing development in a tweet. He said that he will be inaugurating the flight on the 7th of June from Kempegowda International Airport. Adding to his statement, he also thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Minister of State for Civil Aviation Jayant Sinha for facilitating air services between the two cities under the UDAN scheme in the state.

First Flight and its Price
The first flight is scheduled to take off from Bengaluru at 10.30 a.m. and land at the Mandakalli airport in Mysuru by 11.25 a.m. On its return journey, the flight will take off at 12 noon and land at Bengaluru at 1 p.m.
Flight AI 9539 will operate five days a week with special economy seats costing Rs 1,365. The same for super value economy class is fixed at Rs 1, 589 now. Air India officials assert that Alliance Air’s ATR-72 which has a seating capacity of 70 will ply on the route except for Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
Udan 3.0 (Ude Desh Ka Aam Naagrik)
Sources say Alliance Air operates air services to 53 destinations with a fleet of 16 ATR 72-600 (70-seater) and 2 ATR 42-320 (48-seater) aircraft. Flights are operated mostly to Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities or those that link these cities to the metro hubs. Alliance Air has 800 flight departures per week and 114 flight departures per day. It operates flights to 53 destinations in India.
As per UDAN 3.0, the Ministry of Civil Aviation has also granted flights to Gwalior, Jamnagar, Agra, Thanjavur, and Kalaburagi from Bengaluru apart from Mysuru. The same scheme has announced Mysuru flights to Goa, Hyderabad, Belagavi, and Kochi apart from the new flight to the state capital.
