After the landslide victory of BJP and PM Narendra Modi in the LS Elections 2019, many celebrities, political leaders and sportspersons took to social media for congratulating the winning party and the PM. Shabana Azmi too forwarded her congratulatory good wishes to Narendra Modi through her tweet. But was instantly trolled on social media.
Fake News That Said Shabana Will Leave India If Modi Wins
Just a few days ago, the National Award-winning actress made headlines when reports surfaced that Shabana Azmi would be leaving India if Narendra Modi wins the elections. Later on, the ‘Ankur’ actress slammed these to be fake news and said that some “fake news brigade” was circulating such a false quote.
She rubbished all these reports in her Twitter post and said that she was born in India and will die here only. But the fake news circulated so fast that many believed it to be true. So when Shabana Azmi tweeted after PM Modi was elected for the second term to congratulate him, Twitter users trolled her massively.
This is such a strong mandate from the people of India Congratulations @narendramodi and the NDA led by BJP

There was nothing offensive in her tweet. She posted, “What a strong mandate the people of India have given. Congratulations @narendramodi and NDA led by BJP.”
Many users mocked Shabanaji for the tweet whereas some even asked when she was leaving India.
