11 Members Of Pakistani Hindu Family Found Dead In Their House In Lodta Village, Rajasthan

According to a report in the Press Trust of India, eleven members of a Pakistan Hindu family migrants were found dead in a farm in the district of Jodhpur in the state of Rajasthan.

Post the incident, the police have discovered another member of the same family alive in a hut they lived in the village of Lodta of Dechu area. Interestingly, he had no idea about the mishap that was caused to his family members. The Superintendent of police Rahul Barhat confirmed that the man was not aware of what had happened since he had been sleeping outside while the family members were inside. Barhat said,

“We are yet to ascertain the cause and means of death. But apparently, all the members appeared to have committed suicide by consuming some chemicals in the night. There was neither any injury mark on any of the bodies nor any evidence of any foul play. But we have roped in the forensic team and a dog squad to arrive at any final conclusion.”

The Reason For Death Is Still Unknown

However, there is still uncertainty about how the family members have died. As per preliminary investigation suggests that there might have been some dispute within the family. According to the police, they believe that further concrete details of how the incident underwent will emerge in the progress of the investigation. The lone survivor will now be interrogated.

At the far end of the year 2019, the Indian government introduced a controversial bill called the Citizenship amendment bill which aimed at providing citizenship to the minority communities living in the neighboring countries under the assumption that they have been subjected to persecution. There was massive opposition to the bill all across the country and especially in the northeastern region. The bill was eventually passed despite its criticism.
