‘Yash is No More Mr. Showoff in KFI’; Rashmika has made a ‘New Statement’ for KGF star

Rashmika Mandanna had earlier called KGF actor Yash “Mr. Showoff in the Kannada film industry”. Now she has come up with a new statement for The Rocking Star.

Rashmika describes Yash in One Word

Rashmika Mandanna, National Crush, has captured the attention of the film industry following the massive success of Pushpa The Rise and now has a solid lineup of new films. The 27-year-old hadn’t interacted with her fans in a while, so she started a small conversation with them on Twitter.

She was back on Tuesday and answered some interesting questions. She began her chat session by saying, “Hi you guys… how are you? all well? Just checking up on you… I was caught up with work so sorry couldn’t check up on you…all ok? All good? (sic)”

To this, a Twitter user asked Rashmika, “One word about Rocking Star Yash.” In response, Rashmika wrote, “Superstar,” with a red heart emoji.

The Controversy

Notably, Rashmika caused a stir in 2017 when she made a controversial remark about the KGF actor. When asked who she thought was “Mr. Showoff in the Kannada film industry” in an interview, the actress initially refused to answer because it would cause major controversy. Rashmika eventually took Yash’s name when she was forced to respond.

Fans responded angrily to the actress, and she immediately apologized. In a Facebook post, she expressed her admiration for Yash and stated that her words had been misconstrued. “His talent and how he has inspired everyone, including me…When you edit and take just two lines from the most non-serious part of the show and give it a spin…the context is lost. That is really sad,” Rashmika’s post read.

Meanwhile, in the same session with Rashmika on Twitter, another fan asked if she is planning to work with Suriya Sivakumar anytime soon. To which she said, “I would love to.”

On the work front, Rashmika Mandanna will reprise her role as Srivalli in Sukumar’s Pushpa 2: The Rule. She is currently filming Rainbow, her first female-centric film, with Dev Mohan. She also has Animal with Ranbir Kapoor and has recently collaborated with director Venky Kudumula on a project titled VNRTrio.
