Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers Apologise Their Fans And Pledged To Come Back Strong The Next Year


Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers are the two most top guns in Royal Challengers Bangalore’s Arsenal. Both the committed batsmen did everything they could to rescue RCB’s campaign this year, but the team as a whole failed to produce the desired results. However, The Run Machine and Mr. 360 decided to thank their supporters in a special video message last Saturday.

Speaking about the support in the rain-abandoned match between RCB vs RR, De Villiers said, “Thank you so much for the support throughout the season, you guys are incredible. The last over with a five-over game, it was one of the most memorable games of my life and it wasn’t even a result.”

Kohli, who joined ABD’s thoughts added, “Even after three hours of a game being wiped away, you guys still stood in the stadium and give us the biggest cheer when we walk out to bat. It’s special and it’s always going to be special in our hearts and minds.”

He further said, “This season has been as much a disappointment for the players as it has been for the fans. It has been obviously disappointing for us, disappointing for all of you. But we will make sure to come back strong, we will do everything that we can to turn this around next year.”

Pledge to return back strong

The Royal Challengers Banglore were the first team to get knocked out of the contest. After the last match of RCB, this season Virat Kohli ended the Indian Premier League 2019 as a happy captain, owing to Royal Challengers Bangalore’s performance in the second half of the tournament. Kohli said, “We managed to win last 5 of our 7 matches and with one no-result, it is something that we can be very proud of”.


However, a day later, Kohli pledged that his franchise that they will come back stronger in the next season. He also thanked the Bengaluru ground and support staffs for their important contribution, on behalf of the entire team.

Kohli thanked everyone through his tweet. He said, “Thank you guys for all the love & support – the entire team including the fans, the ground staff & the support staff! Promise to come back stronger next year ನೀವು ಇಲ್ಲಾಂದ್ರೆ ನಾವು ಏನು ಅಲ್ಲಾ” ( We are nothing without you guys).
