Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi hit out at the Uttar Pradesh government after 8 police officers were killed by criminals in an encounter in Kanpur.
After the policemen were killed in the encounter, Rahul Gandhi took to Twitter to attack the Uttar Pradesh government. He wrote a tweet in Hindi which read,
“Another proof of ‘Gundaraj’ in Uttar Pradesh. When the police are not safe, how will the public be? My heartfelt condolences are with the families of the slain martyrs and I wish the injured a speedy recovery.”
https://t.co/jTptULhObH

Rahul Gandhi’s sister and another Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi also highlighted that four members of a family in Prayagraj and said that it is unusual for criminals to rule in such a way in the state. She also demanded accountability from the government. She said in a tweet,
“Soon after the dreadful incident in Kanpur, four persons of a family were killed in Prayagraj. A father-daughter was murdered in Ghaziabad. In Uttar Pradesh, it is unusual in Uttar Pradesh for criminals to rule the roost like this. In the light of such anarchy, accountability must be fixed.”
https://t.co/GYt6FmEDkK
