Two days after the heinous Palghar lynching, Twitteratis trended the hashtag #PalgharLynchingTruth as they attacked the Maharashtra government led by the Shiv Sena and Congress. They also criticized the police for being incompetent.
From accusing people of not condemning the incident to mock ‘seculars’, Twitterati went after the silence of the people. There were also allegations that were posted that suggested that the Maharashtra Government is encouraging such acts. There was also a communal angle given by social media users. While there were some who demanded an inquiry and a law against mob lynching, the others were accusing Uddhav Thackeray of incompetency.
Here are some of the tweets.

Do you remember this Khalsa gentleman Sub inspector Gagandeep Singh in Uttarakhand police, who alone saved a boy from a blood thirsty mob. Can’t help but wish that Maharashtra police had such brave officers in their force.#PalgharLynchingTruth #PalgharLobbySilence pic.twitter.com/dzuksQXZWK

I think cops are also human beings and they don't carry any communal agenda. It was heartbreaking but still, we hv to think from d other side also cz it depends upon person to person that how they deal with the situation when surrounded by a herd of peoples. #PalgharLynchingTruth pic.twitter.com/YUVrGMY8Cq
