After the Supreme Court ruled in favor of Sushant’s family and ordered a CBI inquiry into the case, Rhea Chakraborty has come out and issued a statement through her lawyers.
Post the verdict of the Supreme Court, the lawyers representing Rhea Chakraborty came out and said,
“The Hon’ble Supreme Court after examining the facts and circumstances of the case and the report of the Mumbai police has observed that it will be the desired justice as Rhea herself called for a CBI investigation. The Hon’ble Supreme Court also observed that due to the allegations made by the two states of political interference against each other, it would be in the interest of justice to hand over the case to the CBI.”
The lawyer Maneshinde further said,
“Since the court has transferred the investigation to CBI invoking its powers under Article 142 of the Constitution of India, she will appear and face the investigation by the CBI as she has done earlier with the Mumbai Police and the Enforcement Directorate. Rhea maintains that the truth will remain the same, whichever agency investigates the case.”
Swara Bhasker Supports Naseeruddin Shah’s Statement
Bollywood actor and activist Swara Bhasker has come out in support of Naseeruddin Shah after he received flak for his statement allegedly against Kangana Ranaut. In supporting him, Swara Bhasker wondered why people cannot agree that Sushant was depressed indeed.
In an interview with India Today, veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah called the coverage of the actor’s death sickening and said that the investigation should happen in pursuit of death. Swara agreed to his views and said,
“I absolutely agree with Naseer sir. In fact, I have been saying this for many days. You can see it on my social media, that it’s absolutely sickening to see how social media and many media houses have started their conspiracy theories and have been fanning lies to the public. Why is it so difficult for people to accept that he may have been depressed? I read an article where someone said that he didn’t look depressed, what theory is that? How can someone ‘look’ it? Just because someone is famous, doesn’t mean things can’t be wrong. We as a society need to give more importance to mental health.”
