Post the Hathras gang-rape case, the issue of caste-based violence has once again come to the forefront of the debate across the country. Social media users have also sparked the debate on online platforms.
Ayushmann Khurrana starrer film Article 15 which depicted a similar incident of caste-based violence. The film is often regarded as one of the few mainstream films that have taken up caste violence as a subject. A scene from the film has gone viral after the recent incident.
In the scene, Ayushmann Khurrana who plays a Brahmin cop investigating a rape and murder of Dalit girls asks his subordinate to explain the caste system.
