1. KL Rahul

Kings XI Punjab opener and Indian batsman KL Rahul has been quite impressive in this ongoing Indian Premier League 2019. Opening together with Chris Gayle, Rahul formed a potent opening combination that took the attack to the opposition.

He enjoyed the freedom given to him at the top of the batting order. However, Rahul is now currently second highest run-getter after David Warner. This season, he has a total of 520 runs in 12 matches which consists of 1 hundred and 5 fifties in IPL 2019.

2. Shreyas Gopal

The all-rounder from Karnataka Shreyas Gopal entered VIVO IPL 2019 with the confidence of his 13 wickets which were the most taken by a Karnataka bowler in the league stage of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2018-19. He has played 13 games for the Rajasthan Royals in 2019 and picked 18 wickets.

He is second most in the ongoing tournament just after Kagiso Rabada. Shreyas was highly instrumental in their home win against a star-studded RCB, where he picked 4/16, helping Royal climb to the fourth spot.

He is one of another lad of sharing the same dressing room with KL Rahul this season. Mayank Agarwal was labeled a limited overs specialist in his early years until an intervention from Rahul Dravid got him into focusing on his game in the longer format. Mayank has proved himself to be a valuable player for his team with 2 half centuries with an average strike rate of 143.06.

Manish Pandey was acquired by the Sunrisers Hyderabad for a sum of 11 crores. It made him their most expensive buy in the 2018 IPL Player Auction. Therefore, the Sunrisers established faith in him by retaining him for the 2019 edition too. Having 234 runs in 9 innings which includes 2 half-centuries with a strike rate of 139.28, Manish Pandey has proved himself to be a valuable player for Sunrisers.

After 49 matches in the tournament, five teams are fighting for the remaining two playoffs spots. Chennai Super Kings and Delhi Capitals have already qualified with 16 points each. On the other hand, Royal Challengers Bangalore have already been eliminated from the top four race. However, Mumbai Indians who yet has to qualify have the second best NRR  with +0.347 points on the table.

If they manage to win both their remaining matches then they will finish in the top-two. Eventually, if Sun Risers Hyderabad win both of their remaining matches and MI defeats KKR then RR will be eliminated straightaway and Sunrisers will qualify. In the meantime, Kolkata Knights Riders and Kings Eleven Punjab have to win all their remaining games to have a chance in the top 4.
