Former Indian cricketer and BCCI President, Sourav Ganguly has landed himself in yet another controversy. It was revealed that he attended the selection committee meetings. According to the norm, the BCCI president is not allowed in the meetings, but the current head of the board has gone against it!
The chief selector and other members of the committee were also a part of the meetings held for selecting the squad for a particular series. The presence of Sourav was revealed by ‘Sports Tak’. After the revelation, Ganguly is facing anger from the fans, who are accusing him of spoiling Indian cricket and the process involved in making it a pure one.
What's Ganguly's role in selection meeting?
This is clearly against BCCI's constitution. pic.twitter.com/9rjjoLNESq

Speaking about the reports, another BCCI official told InsideSport: “I haven’t been attending selection meetings, so can’t say whether Ganguly did or did not. But if the selection committee doesn’t want him present, they should have spoken to Jay Shah instead of leaking it to the media. Jay is the board secretary. Sourav would have listened to him.”
