Rashmika Mandanna has been all over the news ever since she made a controversial statement against Rishab Shetty’s production house. There was also news that the actress may get Banned from Karanataka observing her disrespectful gesture towards Kannada cinema. Now, the Kannada star Daali Dhananjay has stepped forward to show his support for the Pushpa actress.
The controversy
A month ago Rashmika was spotted at an airport where a paparazzi asked her if she had watched Rishab Shetty’s Kantara. She said, “Not yet, I want to watch. I am going to go back and watch soon.” Also, in an interview, the Dear Comrade actress failed to mention her first movie production house which was co-owned by Rishab Shetty.
Many netizens of Karnataka took offense to her statement and reminded Rashmika that she kickstarted her career in the Kannada film industry. They also asked her not to forget her roots. There were even rumors that she might get banned in Karnataka for disrespecting the Kannada Film Industry.
Dhananjay defends Rashmika
Amid this, Kannada actor Daali Dhananjay, in a press conference, was asked about his reaction to the incident. He said, “Everyone has their own life in the film industry. Cinema is open to all. No one can tell anyone not to come here or to go anywhere.” “Do you throw the children out of the house for a small mistake?” the actor asks.
Head Bush actor further stated, “Rashmika is a Kannada girl and this is wherever she is from. I appreciate her for growing up as a pan India star.”
