The death of the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput has sparked off widespread outrage against his girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty. Many believe that the actress tried to kill the actor.
Rhea Chakraborty broke her silence and provided an interview with India today where she responded to various accusations against her. She revealed that the 2019 Europe trip was organized by a company that had arranged a shoot of hers in Paris. She also said that she has proof to back her claims. She claimed that Sushant had claustrophobia on airplanes. She said,
“On the day of our trip to Europe Sushant told us that he feels claustrophobic while traveling on a plane and that he takes a medicine called Modafinil. He always had that medicine with him…and before boarding the flight he took it on his own, he didn’t have to get a prescription.”
What Is Modafinil?
As per the articles in the United States National Center For Biotechnology Information website, Modafinil is a non-amphetamine central nervous system (CNS) stimulant that promotes wakefulness. A report says,
“It is used in the treatment of conditions which cause excessive daytime sleepiness.”
As per another report, the adverse effect of modafinil is headache, nausea and may also decrease appetite in many users. Some users may also experience anxiety, insomnia, dizziness, diarrhea, and rhinitis.
Will Modafinil Overcome Claustrophobia?
As per a report, the drug can be used as,
“Psychostimulant for the treatment of cognitive dysfunction in some psychiatric conditions, such as schizophrenia, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, and a general cognitive enhancer in normal.”
Another paper on the NCBI website,
“Modafinil should be used with caution in patients with a history of psychosis and/or mania. Such patients should be monitored for hallucinations, delusions, mania, aggression, and suicidal ideation upon starting modafinil. Discontinuation is advised if these symptoms develop.”
