Reports: US Investigating If Coronavirus Originated In A Wuhan Lab And Not In The Wet Market

The officials in the United States are reportedly investigating the possibility that the Coronavirus could have originated in a Wuhan Lab but not in the Wet Market, as previously established in the media.

Wuhan Institute of Virology lab said to be the origin

Gen. Mark Milley, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, in a media statement said: It should be no surprise to you that we have taken a keen interest in that and we’ve had a lot of intelligence take a hard look at that.

He further added: I would just say at this point, it’s inconclusive, although the weight of evidence seems to indicate natural, but we don’t know for certain.

The virus did not originate as a bio-weapon

As per a report on Fox, the Coronavirus did not originate as a bio-weapon but was the resultant of China’s efforts to show the world that their capabilities in finding and tackling viruses are the same or even greater than that of the United States.

The theory going around is that the Wuhan lab where virology experiments took place had inferior safety standards that led to someone getting infected and appearing at a nearby “wet” market, where the virus began to spread.

Donald Trump also speaks on the big question

When asked if the virus did originate in a Wuhan lab, US Prez Donald Trump said:We are doing a very thorough examination of this horrible situation that happened.

Asked if he discussed about this with Chinese President Xi Jinping, Trump added: I don’t want to discuss what I talked to him about the laboratory, I just don’t want to discuss, it’s inappropriate right now.

There is another angle developing which suggests that the US could be pushing focus on China to hide its failures in handling the COVID-19 outbreak.
