Akshay Kumar has recently shared an update about his upcoming movie Ram Setu, which is set to hit the theatres on October 25, 2022. Other than Akshay, the movie will also feature Nushrratt Bharuccha and Jacqueline Fernandez in the lead roles. Here’s how netizens are reacting.
Akshay Kumar’s film Ram Setu
After giving a back to back flops in recent times, Akshay Kumar is finally back with some out-of-the-box storyline. The 55-year-old has now unveiled the teaser of Ram Setu, his fifth film of 2022 slated to release around Diwali on October 25.
In the teaser, Akshay Kumar plays the role of an archaeologist who is on a mission to save the mythical Ram Setu. He wears a suit that is uncannily similar to a spacesuit as he dives underwater. The story is still a mystery but we can comprehend that Akshay has only three days to save the Ram Setu, which seems to be referring to the mythical bridge built by the vanar sena in Ramayana.
Other than Akshay, the movie will also feature Nushrratt Bharuccha and Jacqueline Fernandez in the lead roles. The action-filled teaser sees Akshay running through forests, sliding down muddy paths, and dodging explosions, and bullets. The teaser very much reminds us of The Mummy, National Treasure, and Titanic.
According to the reports, the film has been shot near Ooty, Daman and Diu, and Mumbai. The film is produced by Aruna Bhatia, Vikram Malhotra, Subaskaran, Mahaveer Jain, and Aashish Singh (Lyca Productions) and Prime Video with Dr. Chandraprakash Dwivedi as the Creative Producer. Ram Setu will be distributed worldwide in theatres by Zee Studios and it will be in theatres on 25th October 2022.
