As per India Today’s report, this comes in the wake of Madhya Pradesh’s ‘left-right’ rule for vendors and shop owners in which shops on the left side would be allowed to open on one day, and shops on the right side the following day. This was reportedly done to curb the spread of coronavirus but has resulted in the poor struggling to make their ends meet.
In the video, the distraught boy dressed in white clothes is seen standing beside his destroyed pushcart, gesturing angrily at two men who might be the Indore civic body officials in question.
The videos have caused a huge uproar on social media as it was particularly disheartening to see the authority’s lack of empathy and patience towards the poor during these testing times. However, as the video is circulating online, many good samaritans offered to come forward to donate and help the boy. Some people approached him again to narrate his ordeal in more detail and speak of how he is doing after the incident. Here are the videos:-
The Indore Press Club stepped up to help the boy with ration and money, while others helped restock his cart. Locals put up the following posts on Instagram and introduced him as Paras Raykar.
