Netizens Slammed Shahid Afridi For Showing Support To Yasin Malik

Former Pakistan cricketer Shahid Afridi has reacted to Yasin Malik’s case. Targeting the Indian government, he defended the terrorist and talked about taking the matters of Jammu and Kashmir to the United Nations.

Terrorist Yasin Malik

Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) chief Yasin Malik was on Wednesday given life imprisonment by a special National Investigation Agency (NIA) court in relation to a 2017 terror funding case. Malik, a Kashmiri separatist, was, on May 19, convicted on various charges under the said case.

As these things were happening around Yasin Malik, the former Pakistan cricketer Shahid Afridi has come out in support of the terror convict, seeking UN intervention in the matter.

Portraying Malik as a “freedom fighter” of “Kashmir’s struggle”, Afridi painted Malik as a victim of “fabricated charges” even though he had pleaded guilty to all charges leveled against him.

“India’s continued attempts to silence critical voices against its blatant human rights abuses are futile. Fabricated charges against #YasinMalik will not put a hold to #Kashmir‘s struggle to freedom. Urging the #UN to take notice of unfair & illegal trails against Kashmir leaders,” Afridi tweeted.
