Jayeshbhai Jordaar has finally been released in theatres. In the film, Ranveer Singh has played a character of a Gujarati man who goes against all odds to protect his unborn child. But, the film opened with poor numbers at the box office.
Jayeshbhai Jordaar box office review
Ranveer Singh’s latest film Jayeshbhai Jordaar has failed to set the box office on fire, at least not on its first day. As per trade analysts, the film had performed poorly on its first day on Friday, collecting only Rs 3 crore across India. The numbers are disappointing for a film starring Ranveer, even though the film is a mid-budget venture.
Jayeshbhai Jordaar is directed by debutant Divyang Thakkar and features Ranveer Singh as a Gujarati man who fights his conservative family to save his unborn daughter. The film also stars Shalini Pandey, Boman Irani, and Ratna Pathak Shah.
Dull opening
As per reports, “Jayeshbhai Jordaar had a dull opening day as it grossed in the 3 crore net range and it’s the same story as many other films opening in the same range post the pandemic.” This puts the film in the same category as some other disappointing films like Attack, Jersey, and Runway 34. These films earned around the same amount on their respective first days at the box office.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared Jayeshbhai Jordaar’s first-day earning and wrote, “#JayeshbhaiJordaar has a shockingly low start on Day 1… Day 2 and 3 very crucial… Fri 3.25 cr. #India biz (sic).”

While Saturday is expected to be more beneficial for Jayeshbhai Jordaar, it remains to be seen how much of a profit it will get. The weekend collections will give a sign of the film’s lifetime run.
Bankrolled under the Yash Raj Films’ banner, Jayeshbhai Jordaar also stars Arjun Reddy fame Shalini Pandey, which marks her Bollywood debut. The film is helmed by Divyang Thakkar.
Failure of #JayeshbhaiJordaar will benefit #BhoolBhulaiyaa2 & #Dhaakad next week…. But it will also benefit #KGF2 this week….. #JayeshBhai indirectly helping others…

It is Tragic to say the least. An Average Unappreciated Marvel film #MultiverseOfMadness has managed to have better collections on its ‘Day 8’ yesterday than #JayeshbhaiJordaar on its ‘Day 1’. Hopefully #BhoolBhulaiyaa2 brings some cheers for the sake of Single Screens up North.

#OneWordReview…#JayeshbhaiJordaar: POOR.
Rating: ⭐️½
Jordaar concept, but kamzor writing… Screenplay of convenience… #RanveerSingh sparkles, but the amateurish goings-on play spoilsport. #JayeshbhaiJordaarReview pic.twitter.com/fY3xYqzcpI— taran adarsh (@taran_adarsh) May 13, 2022

#JayeshbhaiJordaar ⭐️🌟 ( 1.5)
Based on the issue of female foeticide JJ is a extremely boring film which fails to provide entertainment & humor in its narrative. #Ranveersingh act is decent but he couldn’t rise above the monotonous script & direction.
SURE SHOT DISASTER. pic.twitter.com/8krJ2GoWJZ

No interest for #JayeshbhaiJordaar amongst audience if we go by its advance booking. Film will struggle to get an opening of even ₹ 5 cr nett now.
Jayeshbhai Jordaar first day collection would be in the range of ₹ 3-4 cr nett.
