‘It’s Important To Ask Those Questions’, Manoj Bajpayee Justifies Public Anger Over Sushant’s Death

The public anger is piling up on the death of Sushant Singh Rajput’s fans. The fans have been constantly demanding a CBI inquiry into the case of his death. The Deputy Commissioner of Police of Mumbai Police, Abhishek Trimukhe has appealed to the public to trust them in the case.

Senior actor and the co-star of Sushant Singh Rajput in the film Sonchiriya, Manoj Bajpayee reacted to the public anger saying that it is important for people to ask the questions. He said when the praises are received, why not criticism. He said,

“If the anger is directed towards you, I have to ask the question, right? When I say that people are right when they are making my film a hit, when the same people are asking me questions, it becomes very important for us to answer those questions. This is something that the government also does.”

Speaking to WION, Bajpayee spoke about nepotism and said,

“Let me start with this, the world is not fair. I have been saying this for 20 years that as an industry we celebrate mediocrity. Forget about the industry, as a nation we celebrate mediocrity. Something is lacking somewhere – in our thought process, our value system. When we see talent, we immediately want to ignore or push it away. This is the value system of ours which is so deplorable.”

Karan Troubled With Hate

Even after 20 days of actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s death, the outpouring of the fans’ emotions hasn’t stopped. The death of a rising star has not yet been digested.

A debate that has gained mileage post the actor’s death is nepotism in the industry and the one man who is at the center focus of the outrage has been the producer and filmmaker Karan Johar. Karan Johar has been regarded as the flag bearer of nepotism ever since Kangana Ranaut accused him on his show Koffee With Karan. Post the death of Sushant Singh Rajput, the hate has only multiplied.

Karan Johar recently unfollowed many celebrities from his social media account. As per reports, he is also likely to resign from the Mumbai Academy of Moving Images board. However, the chairperson of the board, Deepika Padukone is consoling and convincing Karan to reverse his decision. There were also reports that his famous chat shows Koffee With Karan is likely to go off air soon.
