Amidi Coronavirus outbreak, people in Chandigarh now have access to a new facility made available by the administration during the nationwide lockdown – ATM on Wheels that goes door-to-door.

According to ANI, the ATMs installed in a van have served close to 200 people in the last two days across the city. “The response of the public has been positive–people are only withdrawing cash as per the requirement so that we can provide money to many people,” said Naveen Kumar, a bank official.
Meanwhile, a proper sanitization is being given top priority in the wake of the outbreak of coronavirus.
“We are ensuring that people sanitize their hands before entry and exit from the ATM. Apart from this, we sanitized the van and the machine before it hit the road,” Kumar added.
Moreover, outside the facility, people were seen keeping a distance of at least one meter between each person before entering the mobile ATM.
Chandigarh reports 8th case
On the latest update, Chandigarh reported a fresh coronavirus case on Friday, making the total eighth.
The latest case was a 22-year-old man from Sector 30 in Chandigarh who returned from Dubai on March 11. He developed a fever on March 25, the 15th day of his return—considered unusual for the virus, which usually has an incubation period of between 2 and 14 days.
UT Adviser Manoj Parida stated in a tweet that authorities were trying to track down the people who might have come in contact with the person, who traveled to Dubai recently.
“Bad news, one new corona positive case in Chandigarh. Dubai returned. Symptoms detection on the 15th day. Unusual. Tracing his contacts. All will be quarantined,” Parida said in a tweet.
