Former Congress President and senior leader Rahul Gandhi have once again attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the economic situation of the country.
In his new attack, Rahul Gandhi claimed that as a country India will not be able to create and provide jobs for the youth because of the economic crisis triggered by the novel coronavirus pandemic. He also claimed that his prediction will come true in the next six months. In a video message, he said,
“India will not be able to provide employment to youth. Media made fun of me when I warned the country that there will be heavy losses due to COVID-19. Today I am saying our country won’t be able to give jobs. If you don’t agree then wait for six to seven months.”
In the video message, Rahul Gandhi also mentioned that close to 2 crore people of India lost jobs in the pandemic. According to a news report, India lost 1.89 crore people lost jobs in India. He said,
“The future of two crore families is in the dark. The truth about unemployment and destruction of the economy cannot be hidden from the country by peddling fake news and hatred on Facebook.”
Wall Street Journal Facebook Report
Rahul Gandhi was mentioning the Wall Street Journal report of August 14 which claimed that the social media platform Facebook had deliberately ignored hate speech posts by the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party. This has paved way for a controversy between Congress and BJP as BJP continues to deny such allegations. However, the Information Technology Panel led by Shashi Tharoor has summoned Facebook to give clarifications. The Congress has even written to the Chief Executive Officer of Facebook Mark Zuckerberg to investigate the matter.
