‘I Am Not Donald Trump’, Says Uddhav Thackeray On Handling Of The Pandemic

In an interview with Shiv Sena’s Saamna with the spokesperson of the party Sanjay Raut, Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray said that ‘He is No Donald Trump’ when it comes to handling the novel coronavirus pandemic.

The full interview is due to release over the weekend. However, the teaser that has been released has Uddhav Thackeray said that he is no Donald Trump. The United States President has been facing a lot of heat in the country and across the world for his handling of the pandemic, especially for his negligence in imposing stricter restrictions. Uddhav Thackeray, on the other hand, has always been wary of easing down the restrictions.

Even though the entire context is not known, the statement by Uddhav Thackeray refers to a leader of the state who downplay the pandemic. This was his response when Sanjay Raut asked when Vada Pav will be back on the streets of Mumbai.

India Reports Highest Recoveries

This is good news for the government which is trying to stop the spread. The recoveries should cross the number of confirmed cases in order for the pandemic to steep down.
