The first reaction of Rahul Gandhi to the induction of Jyotiraditya Scindia to the Bharatiya Janata Party has been emotional. Responding particularly against the alleged rumors of him not allowing Scindia to contact him or Sonia Gandhi, he emotionally expressed that Scindia was the only leader of the Congress party who could walk into his house.
Having been a union minister in the UPA government, Jyotiraditya Scindia formally joined BJP in the presence of the party president, JP Nadda. In the press conference, Scindia was presented with the saffron scarf as per the party’s tradition.

The end for the Congress
Scindia’s expulsion from the Congress and joining the BJP along with 22 Members of Legislative assembly locked in a resort in Bengaluru, the situation for the Kamal Nath government seems grim. While many analysts have already called the end for the Congress government in Bhopal, Digvijay Singh, the senior leader of the Congress, has warned for a surprise during the floor test.
Addressing the media during his induction, Scindia expressed his disappointment and said it was becoming “extremely difficult” to serve the people of the country under the Congress party. A vocal critic of Narendra Modi in the past, Scindia was seen praising the Prime Minister and thanking him for providing him the platform.
The Speculations
The speculations arose when the 22 MLAs sided with Scindia were reported to be in a resort while Scindia met Amit Shah and Prime Minister Modi which then led to his expulsion from the Indian National Congress. The reason and the cause that led to it is being widely speculated in the media. Scindia who had ambitions of becoming the Chief Minister was left disappointed when Kamal Nath was appointed as the head of the state. Scindia also lost the Lok Sabha elections from his district of Guna.
Jyotiraditya Scindia and Sachin Pilot were the two leaders who were admired for their work by the opposition and those who detest the Congress Party. With Scindia already gone, Pilot who is close to Scindia is yet to respond.
His decision has left many in the Congress party angry but his former leader and friend, Rahul Gandhi seems to be disturbed. Earlier in the day, Rahul Gandhi refused to comment on the issue. Amidst all these, there is a Kamal Nath in Bhopal anxious, worried and probably furious.
