On Thursday, actress Rhea Chakraborty took to Instagram to share a screenshot of a rape threat provided to her by an Instagram user.
Since the death of Sushant Singh Rajput, Rhea Chakraborty has been getting her share of hate as people perceive her to be the reason behind his mental illness that led him to the final decision. She shared a screenshot of your inbox where a person had said that,
“I make sure you will be raped and murdered! You b***h commit suicide otherwise I will send people to kill you sooner or later.”
Sharing the photo, Rhea wrote in the caption,
“I was called a gold digger. I kept quiet. I was called a murderer. I kept quiet. I was slut-shamed. I kept quiet. But how does my silence give you the right to tell me that you will get me RAPED and MURDERED if I don’t commit suicide? Do you realize the seriousness of what have you said? These are crimes, and by law no one, I repeat NO ONE should be subjected to this kind of toxicity and harassment. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.”
Rhea further tagged the social media accounts of the cyber crime department and asked them to take necessary action.
Rhea’s Emotional Note
Since the death of the actor, Rhea Chakraborty has refrained from making any statements. She made one public appearance in his funeral and after that, she hadn’t posted anything on social media too. Today, exactly, a month after the unfortunate demise of her boyfriend, she has penned an emotional note. In the post, she wrote,
“Still struggling to face my emotions. An irreparable numbness in my heart. You are the one who made me believe in love, the power of it. You taught me how a simple mathematical equation can decipher the meaning of life and I promise you that I learned from you every day. I will never come to terms with you not being here anymore. I know you are in a much more peaceful place now. The moon, the stars, the galaxies would’ve welcomed “the greatest physicist” with open arms.”
