Surprisingly, on the date of its release netizens started trending the movie with the hashtag #BoycottBachchanPandey. The reason for all are virtually expressing their anger is Bachchan Pandey the name itself. Netizens believe that the name is Hinduphobic in nature. They allege that the film-maker has intentionally used the name of Bachchan ‘Pandey’ for a gangster role as Pandey belongs to the Brahmin community.

This is not it, Bachchan Pandey’s ‘Holi par Goli’ tagline also came under the radar as netizens accused the film-makers of tarnishing the Indian festival of colors. Making it worse, netizens are summarizing that Director Farhad Samji belongs to the Muslim community and thus he is trying to spread Hinduphobia.
