The biggest hero of NDA victory became Prime Minister Narendra Modi as the ‘Modi Magic’ broke the dream of Tejashwi Yadav becoming Chief Minister. In the election, BJP won 74 seats, while JDU got 43 seats and RJD (RJD) won 75 seats, but its ally Congress was reduced to 19 seats.
The BJP put up a winning performance in the Bihar Assembly elections leading the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA) to obtain majority even though Chief Minister Nitish Kumar led Janata Dal-United (JDU) posted a fall in total votes gained in a tightly fought race.
In the Bihar elections, NDA’s strategy of ‘Brand Modi’ worked once again. For 15 consecutive years, Nitish Kumar has been in government in Bihar. In such a situation, ‘Brand Modi’ also calmed down the people who were slightly angry with the government.
The NDA won an absolute majority in Bihar winning 125 seats, three more than the halfway mark needed for a victory.
The opposition Mahagathbandhan, which began the day with a lead had to take a backseat by the end of counting settling for 110 seats in the election that saw counting continue stretching over 20 hours and wrapping up only in the early hours on Wednesday.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday, thanked the people of Bihar for the overwhelming support given to the NDA in the assembly elections 2020.
Tweeting in Hindi the PM said, “Bihar has taught the world the first lesson of democracy. Today Bihar has told the world again how democracy is strengthened. A record number of poor, deprived and women of Bihar also voted and today have also given their decisive decision for development.”
Bihar election results 2020 again proved that the biggest brand ambassador of trust politics in India is PM Narendra Modi. People voted on what Modi said in Bihar’s election rallies. Although BJP fought elections under Nitish’s leadership, PM Modi was leading the entire election. The BJP’s victory in Bihar elections is a seal on the work of the Modi government at the time of coronavirus crisis.
Here are five reasons for the NDA’s victory
1. 12 rallies in Bihar
When people were seeing the victory and defeat in the election after seeing the rallies of Tejashwi Yadav, then Narendra Modi expressed confidence from 12 rallies in Bihar that the victory will be an experience of good governance.
2. Calling out Jungle Raj
Narendra Modi, while calling Tejashwi as the crown prince of Jungle Raj, also reminded Bihar of Jungle Raj in Lalu Yadav’s 15 years and raised developmentalism against dynastic politics.
3. Development
PM Narendra Modi connected Bihar with developmentalism. Gave the slogan of the double engine as compared to the double prince and increased trust in corruption-free good governance. Gave the slogan of the defeat of arrogance and victory of hard work in Bihar.
4. Employment promises
Narendra Modi neutralized the anti-Nitish government wave in Bihar and assured Bihar of employment opportunities along with calling out the opposition on why is afraid of Bharat Mata ki Jai and Jai Shri Ram’s slogans.
5. Centre’s schemes
Prime Minister Narendra Modi (Narendra Modi) answered every question of the opposition and due to the benefit from the schemes of the Center, there was a huge turnout in favor of NDA.
