Southern India’s inland areas are also expected to experience increased rainfall from Wednesday onwards due to moisture in winds caused by the cyclonic circulation over the Bay of Bengal.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) report says that a weak off-shore trough has developed near the coast of Karnataka.
