Beast Movie Review : Even Thalapathy Vijay Can’t Rescue Beast From Weak Writing

Since the movie was released on the 13th of April, fans have praised actor Thalapathy Vijay for his tremendous performance in the movie. However, a part of netizens believes that the story could have been much better.

Beats Review

In the movie beats, Thalapathy Vijay is a RAW agent named Veera Raghavan. The movie begins with Operation Jodhpur, where Veera is assigned to lead a mission to capture a terrorist. Thalapathy is in action mode in Beast. The styling is skillfully done. The character is developed to suit his strengths, but some experts think that at times the ‘action’ is over the top, even for Vijay’s persona.

The supporting actor in the movie, Pooja Hegde appears to have only occupied the screen with Vijay for the Arabic Kuthu – Halamithi Habibo song, rest of the movie, one might even forget that she exists.

According to film pandits, the film does begin promisingly, but the problem with Beast is that it has a villain who is given a mission that never seems to be a challenge. Moreover, the terrorists hardly seem dangerous.

Reviewing the movie, a Twitter user who happens to be a hardcore Thalapathy fan, wrote, ” As a huge Vijay sir fan, i am highly disappointed with Nelson, he didnt use Vijay sir full potential as an actor.. thanks @anirudhofficial for saving Vijay sir career again.. 1st half : /5 Full comedy make it irritating and cringe… #Beast #BeastReview #BeastFDFS.”

Overall, Beast has a good first half where the comedy and action do well at times. Anirudh also tries to add some punch to the scenes with his musical brilliance, but by the time we get to the end, the writing of the film failed to adapt Thalapathy Vijay’s mass.
