Actor R Madhavan is a proud father now, as his son manages to win a silver medal at the ongoing Asian Age Group Championships. Vedaant Madhavan along with three others participated in the 4×100 freestyle relay for group II swimming championship.
A Proud Father
The 14-year-old swimmer had made his father proud by winning a silver medal in an international swimming championship. Vedaant participated at the Asian Age Group Swimming Championship and bagged the medal for 4X100m freestyle relay.
Vedaant, Utkarsh Patil, Sahil Laskar, and Shoan Ganguly, got a silver medal in the freestyle relay category while Thailand got the gold medal and Japan won bronze in the third spot. However, India also clinched a Gold medal in the 4x100m freestyle relay (Group 1).
Madhavan shares it on social media
The 49-year-old actor shared this news on Instagram, he posted images of the event along with it he wrote, “India gets her Silver medal at the Asian Age Games. Gods grace. Vedaant’s first official medal representing India.”
Vedaant has been representing his state in several games in swimming. Previously, he had won the bronze medal representing India in an international swimming meet in Thailand.
