During an event for the movie, Nani opened up about how his film Dasara is being compared to other South Indian movies including Yash’s KGF and Allu Arjun’s Pushpa. He said that his film is very different from the other titles it is being compared with.
Dasara comparison with KGF
Telugu star Nani and Keerthy Suresh are on a promotional run for their upcoming film Dasara, which will release on March 30. However, ever since the film’s trailer got released, Dasara is being compared to Allu Arjun’s Pushpa and Yash’s KGF. During an exclusive interview, Nani clarified how Dasara is different from Allu Arjun’s Pushpa and Yash’s KGF.
While speaking to Pinkvilla, the Dasara star said, “It is very rural, rustic, and at the same time very real drama. The emotions will feel larger than life so that’s a great combination. You will feel it is all believable. It has a background in coal mines. The culture, traditions, the way they live, everything will make you a part of them, and you will start rooting for the character. No matter how sophisticated you are, you will feel like screaming in the theatre.”
Further, in the interview, Nani also clarified that there is no possibility of Dasara 2. “Dasara is one story, starts and ends in one part,” confirms Nani.

Dasara will see Nani play the role of a drunkard named Dharani, who earns a living by robbing coal. However, a turn of events makes him turn against powerful people and go after them. The film is set in the area of Singareni coal mines, which is situated near Godavarikhani of Telangana.
