Kannada actor Rishab Shetty was awarded the Most Promising Actor at the Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival Awards 2023 for his performance in Kantara.

The popular film awards ceremony was attended by some of the biggest names from both Bollywood and the South Indian film industry. From the South cinema, Dulquer Salmaan, actor-director Rishab Shetty, and many others attended the Dadasaheb Phalke Awards ceremony and won top honors for their contribution to the film industry.
Kantara actor and director Rishab Shetty was among the stars who were honored at Dadasaheb Phalke Awards on February 20. The 39-year-old, who earned global recognition for his 2022 film Kantara was given the Most Promising Actor at the Dadasaheb Phalke Awards for his performance in the film. The actor shared a note on Twitter post his win.
Sharing an elaborate note, Shetty wrote, “Honored to add feathers to this cap. I cannot express my gratitude for bestowing the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award upon me.”
“I am grateful to Hombale films and Vijay Kiragandur Sir for trusting me and giving me an opportunity. I cannot wait to make more and better films together. I dedicate this award to our Daiva Nartakaru, People of Karnataka, Power star Puneeth Rajkumar and Legendary Bhagavan Sir.”
The actor shared a caption along with his post, where he wrote, “I am forever grateful for this love and award. Receiving the Dadasaheb Phalke award has increased my responsibility to do more films. Feels honored and Blessed to be awarded the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award for Most Promising Actor (Hindi).”

Dulquer Salmaan and RRR win big
Also, the pan-Indian star Dulquer Salmaan won the award for Best Actor in a Negative Role, for his performance in the 2022-released Bollywood film, Chup: Revenge of the Artist.

The SS Rajamouli directorial, which earned huge love from the audiences, won the Dadasaheb Phalke Award for the Film Of The Year.
