Prashant Neel, the man behind the success of the Ugram and KGF franchise is handling this film thus the craze for the film has grown more. A few days back, there was a report floating around that Prabhas’ Salaar will release in 2 parts. The director is keen on telling the story in 2 parts just like his earlier blockbuster KGF.

As per the latest reports, Salaar will release as a two-part franchise. But there’s more to the story. While the first part will be hitting the big screens on September 28, the second part will enter its production phase only after Prashanth Neel wraps up his project with NTR. Yet another update is that a major portion of the film’s shooting will be wrapped up by February end, while a minor patchwork will be done in March.

Prabhas is not impressed

The Salaar franchise directed by Prashant Neel will be one of the most exciting action projects right now. But somehow, Prabhas was not impressed by this idea of having 2 Parts and feels the film does not need a sequel. The Baahubali actor had imposed the director to complete the movie in one part.

Earlier, the makers had also hinted that the Yash starrer will have a sequel and Salaar’s part 2 will be linked with Yash’s KGF. However, as per the report on Tracktollywood.com, such plans don’t exist as of now.

Meanwhile, in Salaar, Prabhas is in the lead role along with Prithviraj Sukumaran in the character of Vardharaja Mannaar in the film, co-starring Jagapathi Babu and Shruti Haasan in other prominent roles. According to the producer Vijay Kiragandur, the Salaar movie has completed 85% of its shooting and only the climax sequences are remaining in balance.
