Looking for a sister to hang out with during Raksha Bandhan, this man from Mumbai takes help from a dating app. The Tinder user wanted to enjoy the festival with someone dear and special and didn’t have an own sister.

Raksha Bandhan is just days away, and this man from Mumbai posted about his search on Reddit, saying that he took the help of Tinder to find a sister. “Looking for a sister to hang out during Rakshabandhan [sic],” his Tinder bio reads. If you think that’s silly, then brace yourself. The man’s approach worked and he did actually find himself with not one but two sisters to celebrate Rakshabandhan with.
“I have felt the FOMO for most of my life during Rakshabandhan as I do not have any sister. No one to tie me Rakhi and me gifting them stuff. Anyways, since last 2 years I have been putting the bio as follows during 2 weeks before Rakshabandhan,” he wrote.
“Thanks to tinder, now I have like two sisters both of whom I met on tinder. This year all 3 of us are planning to get together and celebrate Rakshabandhan and exchange gifts and stuff. I’m so excited [sic],” he adds.
Using a dating app for finding Apartments
In a similar case recently, a Kerala man went viral on Twitter for using the dating app Bumble to look for an apartment in Mumbai. A recent tweet shared by a user on the social media platform shares screenshots of a man’s Bumble profile where he is requesting potential matches to help him find a place in Mumbai.
Desperate times call for desperate measures, and the man did not hide his intentions. The Bumble bio of the man begins with an introduction where he clearly states his intentions, “Not a sapiosexual. Looking for a flat in Mumbai.”

In the attached screenshot, the man even mentioned that users should swipe right on his profile if they are in Mumbai and comfortable in helping him to find a place near Western Line since he does not speak Hindi.
The post was liked by many users, with one of them calling the man a “genius”. “On Bumble, many searches for a place in heart, but he is searching for a place in a flat,” said another.
