Light to moderate rain for a couple of days caused traffic jams in many parts of Bengaluru, besides flooding several low-lying areas like Horamavu Main Road, CV Raman Nagar, Panathur, Carmelaram, Belathur, Gunjur, etc.
Bengaluru rains
A constant rainfall of 160 mm, which hit the city brought several areas under knee-deep water. This also triggered a series of woes for citizens from flooding over 1,000 homes to a lack of access to clean drinking water.
As per the Karnataka State Natural Disaster Monitoring Centre’s website, RR Nagar recorded the highest rainfall of 38 mm, while parts of Nayandahalli, Uttarahalli, Vidyapeetha, Gottigere, Nagarabhhavi, Kengeri, Gali Anjaneya Temple and Sampangirama Nagar received moderate rainfall throughout the day.

Rain halts the city
The website has also predicted moderate widespread rains with isolated heavy rains associated with strong surface winds, thunderstorms, and lightning over the next few days.
Traffic in the city was also affected badly, forcing commuters to spend hours on the road as they struggled to guide through the slow-moving traffic due to water logging, relentless rains, and bad roads.

With roads under waist-deep rainwater, potholes and manholes affected, and several homes flooded, netizens shared memes on social media, but not without hinting at the failures of civic authorities contributing to their dilemma.
