A mind-blowing film that brings out the harsh truth about Hindu genocide in the Kashmir Valley. Led by Anupam Kher, The Kashmir Files movie has attained tremendous applaud from the audience.
The brutal reality of Kashmir
Over decades there has been endless violence, separatism, terrorism, and simmering uneasiness amongst the people in Kashmir. It was in 1990, that half a million Kashmiri Hindus, were deliberately chased of the Kashmiri Valley by ravaging Islamic groups. Brutal murders and rapes were also witnessed in this case.
Even after 32 years, despite the removal of several laws in the region, India has not brought justice to the Kashmiri Hindus. To make it worse, their story is barely discussed even after these years.
However, Vivek Agnihotri and his wife, Pallavi Joshi, have decided to bring a change. They have tried to show the real face of the Kashmiri Hindu genocide in their film, The Kashmir Files, which is currently screened across many cities.
Twitter reactions
Ever since the trailer was released, the movie had become the talk of the town, especially for those who have been affected during the mass emigration in the 1990s.
Several social media users voiced their opinion as the movie was released. One social media user wrote, ” The showcases the deep mental & physical trauma. The Kashmiri Pandits experienced & the generational damage it caused. Barely covered in mainstream media, the screenplay and performances really deliver a heart-wrenching film. Not meant for the faint-hearted.”

After watching #TheKashmirFiles today in Gurgaon my younger sister Asha broke down. This heart wrenching film is our story of genocide in Kashmir. These tears are 32 years of pain bursting out. We have lived through our truth being denied. No more. @vivekagnihotri @AnupamPKher pic.twitter.com/yNqWYLKURW

A new beginning. A new revolution. Started by a very small film with the biggest tragedy of the oldest civilisation. Gratitude to every Indian. #TheKashmirFiles#RightToJustice pic.twitter.com/gbyQ7UDjMZ

Each and every Indian must watch #TheKashmirFiles because…
The plight of Kashmiri Pandits genocide was intentionally untold!
The hard-hitting truth was twisted to run the political propagandas!
The limitless pain and suffering of the entire community were always unpublished pic.twitter.com/CPrdw8foe9— Dr.Dhaval Patel (@DhavalP31822144) March 14, 2022
The point of cinema is to push boundaries and #TheKashmirFiles has achieved its goal. If people think that there were better ways of making the film – they had 30 years to do it. The truth is, they didn't want to. And that is where The Kashmir Files wins.@vivekagnihotri
